Frequent fire accidents have broken out at pig farms across the country, resulting in heavy casualties and property losses. Fire safety at livestock farms has once again drawn close attention from the entire industry.
On June 7, a sudden fire erupted at the farm of Guangxi Zhongdan Pig Breeding Co., Ltd. in Baipeng Town, Liujiang District, Liuzhou City, Guangxi. The preliminary investigation concluded that a biogas explosion in the septic tank ignited surrounding facilities. The accident claimed five lives, with a burned area of approximately 1,000 square meters, leaving a harrowing scene. Previously, a pig rearing shelter in Yingtan, Jiangxi caught fire after thunderstorms, with its plastic roof completely burned down. Another fire broke out in the staff quarters of a pig farm in Linqing, Shandong. Fortunately, prompt response prevented severe consequences. These multiple accidents have exposed major safety flaws at pig farms, including poor fire resistance of electrical equipment and inadequate flame retardancy of wiring.
Pig farms feature a special operating environment: humid and dusty conditions, accumulated biogas and concentrated flammable materials. Electrical equipment such as heat lamps and lighting fixtures operate under long-term high loads. Issues including random wiring, aging circuits and poor fire resistance of equipment can easily lead to short circuits, spontaneous combustion and even explosions. Once a fire breaks out, it spreads rapidly and is difficult to put out, often resulting in the tragedy of an entire pig farm being destroyed. Electrical safety is therefore the primary and most critical line of defense for fire prevention at pig farms.
As a high-tech enterprise specializing in livestock lighting and supporting electrical products, Shenzhen Airis Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. targets prominent safety hazards in livestock breeding scenarios. We have independently developed a full range of flame-retardant cables and fireproof lamps dedicated to livestock farming. With robust fire prevention technologies, we build a three-dimensional safety protection system for pig farms featuring flame-retardant wiring, fireproof lighting and controllable hidden dangers, so as to curb electrical fire risks at the source.
Flame-Retardant Cables: Self-extinguishing to Stop Fire Spread
In pig farm fires, ordinary cables are flammable and tend to fuel flames, allowing fire to spread rapidly along circuits and worsen disasters. Our dedicated integrated flame-retardant cables for livestock farming adopt high-performance flame-retardant insulation materials and have passed stringent fire resistance tests. They boast three core advantages: self-extinguishing once away from open flames, no flame propagation, low smoke and non-toxic fumes.
- A dense carbonized layer forms under high temperatures to isolate oxygen and stop fire from spreading along cables.
- Excellent moisture, corrosion and aging resistance adapts to the humid and highly corrosive environment of pig farms, eliminating short circuit risks caused by aging wiring.
- Integrated waterproof connectors prevent short circuits triggered by pig bites or water infiltration, cutting down electrical fire risks fundamentally.
Fireproof Lamps: Explosion-proof & Flame-retardant for High-risk Scenarios
Heat lamps and lighting fixtures in pig farms are always placed close to flammables such as plastic slatted floors and thermal insulation cotton. Casing damage or high temperature from lamps igniting nearby materials is a leading cause of fires. Our livestock-specific lamps (flat heat lamps, conical livestock lamps, T8 waterproof tubes, etc.) are tailor-made for high-risk farm environments, featuring fire resistance, explosion proofing, high temperature resistance and impact resistance.
- The housings are made of flame-retardant and heat-resistant engineering materials, which will not melt or fuel fires under high temperatures and eliminate spontaneous combustion risks of lamps.
- Fully sealed and waterproof structure resists moisture and dust, preventing short circuits caused by water vapor and dust ingress, ideal for frequent washing and high-humidity conditions on farms.
- Reinforced metal protective nets protect lamps from damage and falling due to pig nuzzling and impact, avoiding ignition of flammables by high-temperature lamp bodies.
- A full range of products have obtained international certifications including CE and RoHS, complying with safety standards for livestock breeding scenarios.
Uphold the Original Aspiration for Safety, Safeguard the Sound Development of Livestock Industry
"No detail is trivial for pig farm safety, and fire & electricity prevention is the bottom line." Adhering to the philosophy of Safety First, Quality Oriented, Airis Optoelectronics keeps focusing on R&D of flame-retardant and fireproof technologies to address electrical safety pain points in livestock farming. We implement strict quality control throughout R&D and production of cables and lamps, ensuring all products run stably in harsh farm environments. Our products deliver reliable protection to help pig farms avoid fire hazards and safeguard personnel and property safety.
Against the backdrop of accelerated large-scale and intensive development of the livestock industry, fire safety has become a core competitiveness for the survival and development of pig farms. Shenzhen Airis Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. is committed to providing an integrated safety solution combining flame-retardant cables and fireproof lamps. We aim to help pig farms across the country reinforce electrical safety defenses, stay away from fire risks, and drive the safe, healthy and sustainable development of the livestock industry.
